At Boss Truck Shops, we believe that great leadership comes from dedication, resilience, and a willingness to grow. This month, we’re excited to spotlight Yasmine Pearson, General Manager of our Tucumcari, New Mexico location. Yasmine’s journey into the commercial truck repair industry is one of determination, learning, and a genuine passion for people.

From New Beginnings to General Manager
When Yasmine joined Boss Truck Shops just over two years ago, she was brand new to the commercial truck repair industry. What she lacked in technical knowledge at the start, she quickly replaced with curiosity, determination, and a strong work ethic. With the support of her trainers, mentors, and regional leadership, she steadily built her expertise and confidence.
“I didn’t search for all the right answers,” Yasmine explained. “I searched for how to find the right answers.” That mindset, combined with her natural leadership skills, helped her rise quickly—culminating in her recent promotion to General Manager.
Her story is also one of resilience. Just before she was originally hired, Yasmine suffered two unexpected brain aneurysms. Instead of losing her opportunity, the company held her position until she recovered. “That was such a green flag for me,” she shared. “It showed me the type of company Boss Truck Shops is.”
Leading with Care and Pride
For Yasmine, leadership is about celebrating the small wins and building momentum with her team. When her shop went through a period without a manager, she naturally stepped in to provide structure and support, even before she officially earned the title.
She’s especially proud of how her team has grown in areas like acceptance rates and road calls. “We’re not where we want to be yet, but we’ve come so far in just a few months. Seeing the team buy in and improve together has been really rewarding.”
When asked to describe her shop, Yasmine didn’t hesitate: “We care. My technicians put pride into their work, and we make sure every customer gets the service and respect they deserve.”
Going the Extra Mile for Drivers
Located in a remote stretch of New Mexico, the Tucumcari shop often serves as a lifeline for drivers far from dealerships or major services. Yasmine and her team don’t stop at truck repair—they’ll even help drivers get to hotels, grab a ride into town, or fuel up when they’re stranded.
“It’s important to us that no driver feels stuck. We’ll do what we can to make sure they’re taken care of,” Yasmine said.
Lessons Learned and Looking Ahead
One of Yasmine’s biggest takeaways from working with professional drivers is respect. “I didn’t always realize how much they sacrifice,” she reflected. “Now I see the hours, the dedication, and everything they go through. I respect them so much more.”
Looking ahead, Yasmine has ambitious goals for her shop—expanding service offerings beyond oil changes and tires, stocking more tools and parts, and building a stronger customer base. She knows it won’t be easy, but she’s confident in her team’s ability to keep growing.
Her advice to anyone starting their career at Boss Truck Shops? “Never feel defeated by not knowing something. You’ll always be learning. Listen to your technicians, listen to your team—there’s so much knowledge to absorb if you’re willing to ask questions.”
We’re proud to have Yasmine Pearson as part of the Boss Truck Shop family. Her journey is proof that with resilience, teamwork, and passion for learning, anything is possible.
